Sigma Phi Epsilon Kansas Delta has recently made some major changes to their home. With the new exec board, came new positions, and the brothers at Kansas Delta elected a new brother into the new ‘House Manager’ position. Through his hard work, and the help of one of our alumni, the brothers at Kansas Delta have gotten a new opportunity to update their house. Our newly elected House Manager has done an excellent job of keeping the house clean and continues to update the house every day.
With the new semester, new members have taken the opportunity to repurpose a room in the house, previously used for storage. The room was full of old furniture, trash, and Kansas Delta memorabilia, which was moved to a safer location within the house. The House Manager put on an ‘All House Cleanup’ where brothers took a day to move all junk out of the house. During this ‘all house cleanup,’ the brothers moved old couches into dumpsters and cleaned out room in two separate rooms entirely.
Through donations from families of the brothers and alumni pf the chapter, Kansas Delta has been blessed with the opportunity to improve their house amenities. Both rooms (old and new bro rooms) have been complemented with new amenities like a theater, music room, a billiards table, and much more. One new room has also honored Kansas Delta culture by ordaining the wall with paddles from the past, while the other room is lined with philanthropy flags made by each sorority. Each contains names and marks from individual members, thus providing enrichment aside from joy. These new rooms have hosted various social events with sororities and the brothers.
Our SLC position has also made some significant updates to the house as well. Our study room over the past year has seen some new amenities added to it as well. New chairs and desks have been built and placed in the study room by the brothers of Kansas Delta. In addition, we have been blessed with a new whiteboard to help with the studying process. The new and improved study room holds study nights for the brothers every Monday-Thursday evening. These study nights have been taken advantage of to bring over PNMs for a unique style of recruiting.
Renovations have paused, but we are in break and hope to resume the next chance we get!
