Over the weekend, eleven brothers headed down to Dallas, Tex. to attend the Carlson Leadership Academy at the Westin Hotel. While they were there, they learned to how to excel at their roles, learn new ways to make their position better and make the chapter better.
On Friday, the caravan arrived early to attend the opening registration and meetings. There were three meetings that everyone could have attended, but you were only able to attend one. The three meetings were in-depth looks on how to make the chapter better with substance-free living (almost all chapters are dry before the national deadline), how to make the chapter a safer place to live through Residential Learning Communities, and how to make decisions through the brotherhood questionnaire. The night’s meetings ended with the roles separating to prepare for Saturday’s meetings.
On Saturday, roles were able to learn the new additions to their roles to make the chapter better. Rising leaders, Balanced Man Program and others that attended that were not a part of the executive board were shown how to make an impact within the chapter. Most importantly, all executive board members that were in attendance learned all of the duties and why they are important. Saturday was an action packed day filled with meetings and award presentations.
To help more brothers attend this exciting weekend in the future, please donate to the chapter to allow for more brothers to attend.
